Dock Ellis was a professional baseball player for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1970 Dock threw a no-hitter while under the influence of LSD and Benzedrine. As performance enhancing drugs in baseball is commonly talked about today, I find it ironic and interesting that someone was able to achieve such a prestigious MLB accomplishment under the influence of a performance inhibiting drug.
